Barbet Club & AKC Registration
There now is a official Barbet club in America called Barbet Fanciers Club of America. You can read all about the Barbet Fanciers at: http://www.barbetfanciers.com. Cost of yearly membership is $35. Associated Membership for friends, youth, and seniors is $5 a year. The Barbet Fanciers Club needs owners, friends, and family to join! Membership dues go towards education, rescues, fun matches, and more.

In order for Barbet's in America to be recognized, all Barbets in America should register within the AKC's FSS program. By registering within the FSS program, owners of barbet's demonstrate their support and enthusiasm for the breed. With interested owners registering their barbets the barbet may than be accepted into the AKC.

Foundation Stock Service Application Process
- Access Application on AKC website: http://www.akc.org/pdfs/ADFSS1.pdf
- Complete application with information provided by Breeder
- Make a copy of the 3 Generation Pedigree provided by Breeder
- Photographs. Attach two (2) 3" x 5" close-up color photographs of the dog in a standing position: one front view; one side view. Print the dog’s name and registration number on the back of each photograph
- Include Credit Card Information or Check for $35
- Submit entire package to:

Fun Facts
- Coat: Thick and shaggy "hair" not fur. They can be really curly or modestly wavy. Are very soft if kept up.
- Color: Black & brown are most common. Parti-colored are emerging in recent litters.
1 known white male exists.
- Body: The muzzle is slightly shorter than the skull.
Height: Height at the withers: Male Dogs: 58cm – 65cm, Bitches: 53cm – 61 cm
- Temperament: Sociable, needs a steady training regime, and is very attached to their owner(s). They play well with most other dogs, but love to "box" with fellow barbets.
