- Numbers: Aprox. 30-40 in the States less than 600 in the world (estimated)
- Registration Status: The barbet is in the UKC, ARBA, and now in the Foundation Stock Service within the AKC. The FSS may be the first step to get barbets full registration in the AKC.
- Agility: known for their quick agility, barbets are great in various forms of frisbee, ball catching, and many more tasks. They are also able to jump extremely high.
