Welcome to the Xela's (pictured above), an American Barbet, website. She is proud to help promote her wonderful breed. Her line, the Barbet (French for beard) is an exceptional group of intelligent dogs she hopes will continue to grow internationally as well as in the States. Xela, named after the Mayan word for a town Quetzaltenango in Guatemala, likes long walks, squeak toys, and chasing bunnies. She lives in Columbus, Indiana. She is 3 years old and had 7 pups in March '07.

Jackson, Xela's boyfriend, is originally from Belgium. He enjoys taking toys into the yard and playing with his sister, Marley, an Old English sheep dog. He is around 4 years old.

• All puppies now have homes. We have one in Oregon, Southern California, two in Indiana, one in Kentucky, one in New Jersey, and one in New Hampshire. We may have another litter in a year or so. • Last puppy is placed! Nova (Nandee is his new name) will be in New Jersey!
• Cyrano goes to a home in Corydon, Indiana. Now there are at least three Indiana Barbets!
• June 07 Two puppies (males) go to new homes. One is in Southern California another in Portland, Oregon
• May 27th Our large male Havoc goes to a new Home in New Hampshire!
• May 21 Clover, goes to a family in Columbus, Indiana who have a Portuguese Water Dog.
• Violet, our beloved female, goes to a Assisted living home to be a training dog. We will miss our shy Violet!
• March 21st, 2007, 7 barbet pups were born. Xela did wonderful and they are all happy and healthy.
• Jackson sired a pup with a Barbet in Florida. One pup was born in January 2007!!
